The Wrightspeed X1 Prototype is a concept car marrying the purest manifestation of performance driving with an electric powerplant. The X1 uses lithium-polymer batteries and an AC Propulsion motor producing 260 horsepower SAE. It weighs 1535lbs. That is a power-to-weight ratio of 5.9lbs./bhp. Based on the British built Ariel Atom which is a purpose-bulit closed-track sports-car, the X1 is a concept and Wrightspeed has no plans for production.
